Happy New Year 2009

We aim to promote Bengali culture and literature. We endeavour to integrate Bengali and Western values by organising social and cultural events involving people from both communities to celebrate diversity.

We are very happy to find that our website has attracted visitors not only from the UK, India, Bangladesh, the USA, France, Germany and Canada, but also from the UAE, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea,  Philippines, Qatar, Pakistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, Nepal, Netherlands, Turkey, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Croatia, Norway, Austria, Panama, Australia, New Zealand, Morocco and Mauritius. Certainly it is no wonder because Bengali is the seventh most popularly spoken language in the world and Bengali diaspora are spread all over the globe, but it is extremely heartening to find that the UDAYAN website has a niche in Bengali cultural sites and has invoked interest all over the world in 2008.
