Comments from our Guest of Honour of the Programme

It was a privilege and a pleasure to be the guest of honour at Udayan's Bande Mataram performance at the John Radcliffe on Saturday 8th December. The evening saw a great variety of song and dance - ranging from patriotic songs and traditional Indian religious dances to Bollywood extravaganza - performed with verve and enthusiasm by a great many participants - some as young as three years old! An audience from many different communities in and around Oxford thoroughly enjoyed themselves, not least because of the informative explanations and translations of the performances. Knowing that the evening was raising money for an excellent cause - the John Radcliffe's new Children's Hospital - added to the enjoyment of a memorable celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of India's independence.

A Very Happy New Year Joya, and many thanks for your kind comments.

I am so pleased that the evening went so well. Penny told me she had enjoyed
what she saw -and ate!! The £300 is a great boost to the Campaign funds and
everyone will be delighted with the donation. ...

If you decide to stage another event do let us know, we would be delighted
to work with you again.

Kind regards

Janet
