The Tagore Evening

We celebrated the 144-th birth anniversary of the Bengali Nobel Laureate poet, Rabindranath Tagore on 14-th May, 2005 at the Headley Hall of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. It was an evening of sublime poetry, music and melody composed by the eminent renaissance poet-philosopher Tagore whose literary work brought him worldwide fame. We listened to the voice of universal peace and harmony. An English commentary accompanied the programme and translations of the poems and songs presented were projected live using a powerpoint presentation.
